INS 21, Property and Liability Insurance Principles
INS 21 is a required to complete the Program in General Insurance certification. INS 21 gives the student an excellent overview of the insurance industry by covering different types of insurance companies, regulations, underwriting and claims activities, and many more.
CPCU 510, Foundations of Risk Management, Insurance and Professionalism
CPCU 510 provides a broad overview of many basic insurance concepts including contract provisions, the risk management process, insurable interest, and loss settlement provisions. The class also contains a comprehensive overview of the ethical requirements of CPCU candidates.
CPCU 540, Finance for Risk Management and Insurance Professionals
CPCU 540 explores the financial nature of the insurance industry. Topics covered include an over view of financial statements, capital structure of insurers, insurer investment strategies, and other important financing basics.
